Definition

Pflanzlicher Wirkstoff (Sesqiterpenalkohol) der z.B. im Kamillenöl (Oleum chamomillae) vorkommt. Die Substanz ist leicht löslich in Ethanol, jedoch unlöslich in Wasser. Bisabolol wirkt antioxydativ (Mamalis A et al. (2013) antiphlogistisch, granulationsfördernd (Maurya AK et al. 2014), desinfizierend.

Bisabolol wird in kosmetischen Präparaten verwendet. Aber auch in medizinischen Produkten z.B. zur Wundbehandlung. Bisabolol ist in geeigneten Grundlagen in der Lage pigmentierte Haut aufzuhellen (Lee J et al. 2010).
