Definition

Poloxamine sind eine Untergruppe der Poloxamere (s.u.Poloxamere). Sie sind wie die Poloxamere Blockpoymere (Copolymere bei denen zwei längere Blöcke eines Monomers aufeinander folgen: AAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBB...), die strukturell aus einem Ethylendiamin-Kern zusammengesetzt sind, dessen Aminogruppen mit Copolymeren aus Polyoxyethylen- und Polyoxypropylen-Blöcken variabler Länge substituiert sind. Es handelt sich hierbei um nichtionische Tenside.

Vorkommen

Verschiedene Poloxamine finden in medizinischen (z.B. in Kontaktlinsenflüssigkeiten) und kosmetischen Rezepturen Verwendung. Poloaxmine wirken als Emulgatoren. Folgende Poloxamine sind nach der INCI-Nomenklatura erfasst:
