Definition

Isoamyl alcohol ist ein natürlich vokommender, farbloser, nur schwer wasserlöslicher Alkoholmit der Summenformel - C5H12O- , der in kosmetischen Rezepturen eingesetzt wird. Dier Alkohol ist löslich in organischen Lösungsmitteln wie Ethanol, Aceton, Benzol, Chloroform. Seine Bildung erfolgt in der Natur durch Abbau der Aminosäure Leucin durch Vergärung mit Hefen.

Vorkommen

Kosmetik: In kosmetischen Rezepturen wirkt sie als Lösungsmittel für Fette, Öle und Harze.  

Upstream-Materialien: Vanillin, Fuselöl (dort Hauptbestandteil)

Downstream Produkte: Isovaleraldehyd,  3-Methylbutylbutyrat,  Isopentylphenylacetat Diethylisopentylmalonat,  Norfloxacin,  Isopentylformiat,  Diethylethylisopentylmalonat, Calcitonin, Isovaleriansäure , Isopentylpropionat 1-Brom-3-methylbutan
